Fevers: When to Worry?

A fever isn't usually a serious event. Marked by an increased body temperature and discomfort, as if you just can't get warm. The fever is the body's natural defense mechanism to invading forces. Just like with food, you literally cook the bad stuff out.

Any parent can give their own account of worry when it comes down to an abnormally high temperature, which is usually a concern when you hit 104 degrees or higher. Especially in babies/toddlers. This is also the same for the elderly.. However, it is the cause of the fever as well as the duration that will spark the concern of a doctor.
